Nova Nocturne, the ringtail on the right, is a wildish, feral being, hailing from a native-american/druid-gaelic culture. Marius Octavius Aurelius, the bull dragon on the left, is a brutal commanding legionaire in a educated and imperialised civilization. Marius' army sweeps through the country side, conquering as they go, gathering tribute and enslaving those who do not submit easily. Nova however is not fighting for something as simple as land, money, or even food. Her only choice is to fight for her life and freedom against those who would cage her, and break her will. Marius' goal is glory while Nova's is simply to be her own master; Both think their causes are noble, not realizing the sacrifice it would demand of the other, should they fail.
