Hello, my name is Tesseri, or Nova, (depending on your preference), and I would like to invite you all to hear about my dream.  Perhaps you have heard of the International Language Program.  It is a non-profit organization that teaches children from other countries English, in order to improve the opportunities in their future.

It has been my dream to volunteer for this program, to help improve the lives as many children as I can.  Volunteers pay a tuition fee in order to pay for travel expenses and food.  To this end I have been working hard, but the dead line looms closer and I still need more so I am opening a commission drive!  Please note that because all proceeds go to a charitable organization the price of each commission is considered a donation and is therefore tax deductable with a receipt.  For more information about that, please check the payment section of this journal.  My prices and examples will be posted toward the bottom of this journal.  For information about the International Language Program I intend to volunteer in please keep reading.  For the prices and examples skip down to the "COMMISIONS =)" section. For examples of my art I will post examples for each commission level.

The grand total needed for the 5 month tuition: $2520
I have personally raised a large portion of this by working, and to see how far along I am please check my main page for a progress bar to see how close I am.

A few quick facts about the program:
1. The program's main goal is to improve the lives of children through quality language instruction and cultural exchange.
2. The cost of my tuition in the program goes towards my travel expenses, food, and a training workshop.
3. The program is similar to a student exchange program, except it sends teachers to schools in foreign countries, thus reducing the costs to students.
4. The students are charged a small tuition fee, it is highly affordable for students and there are voucher programs for less well off families available depending on the country.  This pays for the upkeep of the schools.

To share in my adventure of volunteering to teach English in China, I intend to start a blog.  I will be starting it mid-to-late January of 2013 when I am due to depart. This would provide donators with tangible proof of the good a small donation can do.

"Payment information:"
If anyone is interested the commission is tax-deductable because all proceeds go to a charitable organization. If you are interested in that option, please by all means, send me a note, or private message and I can show you a form for that. If you would rather not deal with that paperwork, my paypal email is Tesseri_kemmara@hotmail.com

When donating please refer to the fees page: www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/pay…
and please include in the message area for sending the donation the following: ILP-Donation from (your name). I would like to thank each donor for their generosity.

Why should you Commission me?

Firstly you would be helping children in a foreign country who can't normally afford it, to learn English and experience another culture like in a student exchange program. You will be able to see the blog I write showing the good that even a small donation makes, and you will know that you had a hand in helping children learn.
